National Association of Steppers Advisory Board-Certification Division
Currently certification is optional, The NSAAB is moving towards the goal of making certification a requirement for the greater good of the national steppers community.
80% of the known and currently operating Steppin Instructors recevied a personal invitation from the organization to participate in a first round of Exisiting Instructor Certification. Less than 2% responded and Less than 5 of them are either completed or in the process of certification.
The organization does not ask existing instructors to complete any training however you can view the requirements of existing instructors here.
This invitation is open on a continuous basis until June of 2008. You can view the invitation here.
Dancers who would like to begin to learn to teach or who are assisting in classes currently can become certified assistants thru the certification program also. View here.
We recognize non-local instructors and students have different needs. The program is a national program. If you do not live within 75 miles of Chicago, IL and are interested in certification please view here.
Resources are made available thru this site to all who have complete the requirements to become certified or are currently in the program and in good standing. View here for more information on how to access resources.
